Swimmies – More Safety for Your Children!
The GMF initiative I am an Angel and Wear Wings is committed to improving child safety in swimming pools, with the clear goal of raising awareness and reducing drowning accidents. We therefore strongly encourage parents to ensure that their children wear swimmies throughout their entire stay in the pool area – even brief moments of inattention can be critical.
This topic is also actively addressed in Burgenland: Through the initiative Every Child Should Learn to Swim, Sportland Burgenland promotes swimming skills and water safety from an early age. Therme Stegersbach actively and wholeheartedly supports this initiative.
Enjoy Swimming Together – Safely
Rule 1
Only jump into the water where it is permitted and never endanger others with your jump.
Rule 2
Remember sun protection: sunscreen, T-shirts and headwear help protect you from excessive sun exposure.
Rule 3
Do not swim with a completely full or empty stomach – your body needs the right balance.
Rule 4
Air mattresses, inner tubes or inflatable toys do not provide reliable safety.
Rule 5
In case of thunderstorms: leave the water immediately and move to our indoor areas. Swimming outdoors can be life-threatening under these conditions.
Rule 6
Children who cannot yet swim must always wear swimmies throughout the entire pool area.
Rule 7
Calling for help is not a game! Only call for help if there is real danger. If you notice an emergency, please inform the lifeguards immediately.
